One rustic farmhouse, one team, in the Malaga countryside
A registered health centre for residential addiction treatment, run by a small multidisciplinary team and built on a clinical model adapted from PROMIS Clinics in the United Kingdom.
Sierra Recovery Services S.L. operates a supervised residential treatment centre at Cortijo Ferradores, Humilladero, in Malaga province. It is entered in the Registro Andaluz de Centros, Servicios y Establecimientos Sanitarios (the Andalusian register of health centres, services and establishments) under N.I.C.A. 67331, authorised for the care unit atención sanitaria a drogodependientes (healthcare for drug dependency, authorised care unit U.71).
How the centre is organised
The centre operates under the Andalusian healthcare framework set out in the Orden de 29 de mayo de 2023. The structure is built to provide supervision twenty four hours a day, every day of the year, across four layers: direction, the interdisciplinary technical team, the integration and daily-living team, and support and overnight staff.
Medical and psychiatric direction is provided through our linked outpatient treatment centre. The residential centre provides the supervision, the therapeutic programme and the reintegration plan.
Clinically backed by PROMIS Clinics
Our programme uses the PROMIS Clinics model adapted to Sierra and is clinically backed by PROMIS Clinics, one of the United Kingdom's longest established private rehabilitation clinics, treating addiction since 1986. PROMIS is family owned and run, is registered with the Care Quality Commission for its clinics in England, and has treated addiction in the United Kingdom since 1986. Its founder and Managing Director is Robin Lefever.
Sierra Recovery Services S.L. is a separate Spanish company. It is not a CQC-regulated body itself; it is regulated in Spain by the Junta de Andalucía.
What Sierra is, and what it is not
Sierra is a registered health centre for residential addiction treatment, entered in the Andalusian register under N.I.C.A. 67331, care unit U.71, and run by a small multidisciplinary team on a clinical model adapted from PROMIS Clinics in the United Kingdom.
We are not a hospital, and our authorisation is not a hospital licence, so where a medically supervised detox is needed it is completed in an appropriate medical setting first. We are not a luxury resort with a therapist attached. This is a rustic working farmhouse in open countryside, comfortable and simple, where the point of the building is that it is quiet and far from everything you need distance from.

General Health Psychologist. MSc General Health Psychology. Responsible for clinical standards, coordination with the linked treatment centre and admissions.
Berenice Paramés Jones
General Health Psychologist
Degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical and Counselling Psychology from the Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa. Her professional qualification as a General Health Psychologist is officially recognised in Spain.
María del Pilar Puente Martínez
Psychologist
Degree in Psychology from the National Distance Education University (UNED), with specialisms in health psychology and work and organisational psychology.
