Sierra Recovery is a restored farmhouse on forty hectares of olive groves near Humilladero in Málaga province, about forty five minutes from Málaga airport. It is a registered health centre authorised by the Junta de Andalucía under N.I.C.A. 67331, not a hospital and not a detox unit. Every resident has a private room as standard. The grounds include a pool and terrace, a courtyard, gardens, a sports court and horses kept on the land for equine work. Meals are cooked three times a day by our Michelin-trained executive chef, Harri Archanco. The group is deliberately small and the same clinicians treat you from the first day to the last.
The setting
Somewhere quiet enough to do the work.
Rough stone walls, wooden beams and tiled courtyards, a pool under a fig tree, a paddock with the horses used in therapy, and walking ground for miles across 40 hectares (nearly 100 acres) of private land. The point of the building is that it is calm and far from everything you need distance from.
